Last Day of Preschool

These photos are from M's last day of preschool last year.
She loved Mrs. Hillary's preschool.  We were sad that she couldn't go again this year, since Mrs. Hillary is now an elementary school teacher, but we have her going to a neighborhood preschool this year that she also loves.

Easter 2013

Easter was pretty low-key this year, since it was only one week after baby D was born, but I was able to get some Easter baskets put together and some cute dresses made.
I love getting to sew for these gals!

M's 4th Birthday

Okay, suuuuuuuuuper late post, but I realized that I never blogged about M's 4th birthday way back in February!  M had a friend party with a My Little Pony theme, and she had so much fun that she has been inviting everyone she meets to her next birthday ever since.
M has loved riding her new bike this summer!  She doesn't like to go fast or turn, but she is great riding in a straight line and is getting braver every day.
I made M's cake with fondant and cotton candy, plus a little pony figurine since I wasn't up to sculpting one myself.  I never got a shot of the inside of the cake, but it was rainbow colored and pretty tasty.
Happy 4th Birthday, M.

Baby D

Baby D arrived almost one week ago on the 23rd.  She was here in under three hours, weighing 9 lbs. 14 oz.  We had no idea she would be that big, but everything went well.  We can't get enough of this little girl!
She has a lot of hair, which the nurses loved to play with in the hospital:

Winter Fun

This winter has been a bit much for me, but the kids sure enjoyed playing in all that snow!  M started throwing snowballs this year and gets a real kick out of it, even when Chris gets her back with the snow shovel.

Christmas 2012

We had a great Christmas season. M got to do a Christmas program for preschool.

Santa was even there, so we didn't even have to go to the mall.
A didn't cry on his lap, but she was very wary.
M was excited to see Santa and also a little shy.
The real highlight of the night for M was probably the Sprite.
Poor little A got a parainfluenza virus about three days before Christmas.  She slept on the couch the whole first day of sickness and cried for the rest of it.  She was not her usual self for Christmas Eve or Christmas, but she was good considering how she felt.  Luckily, no one else got it.
Chris made smoked chicken for his family on Christmas Eve.  We weren't sure how it would go, but as always the food turned out great.  Chris has been getting a lot of use out of his smoker grill.  Christmas morning was a lot of fun with the girls this year.
Stockings were full of fun stuff: bath time body paints, owl hats, little toys, and candy, of course.

I tried a cream cheese braid for breakfast.  It wasn't quite what I imagined, but it was still good.  I'll be trying something else next year.

A was all about the candy this year.

This is M's "I got a unicorn Pillow Pet Dream Light" face!  She also got a LeapPad to share with A and some other fun movies and toys.

A got a ladybug Dream Light and a Baby Alive doll.  Next year: more photos!  I didn't take a single picture this year.  Thanks to Chris for all of these photos.
