We decided to go hiking up Holbrook Canyon in Bountiful a couple of weeks ago. It was a lot of fun! We took a lunch and ate it when we were ready to turn around. Here are some pictures from our hike.
This is before we left, all fresh-faced and ready to go:

This is what the river looked like. We had to cross it several times, and it was really high from all the runoff.

This is the end of the unsubmerged trail. We couldn't tell where it went from here, because there was only a raging river of death at the end of the trail we were on. We thought it best to turn back at this point.

This is Chris's action shot. Notice the look on his face.

This is one of the few bridges there were to cross. The rest of the time we had to wade through. Well, Chris did. I got to get a ride on his back. :)

This is in the middle of the hike. The trail went up out of the trees for a bit then dropped back down.

This is one of the animals we saw on our hike. It's a dead moose, we think. Also on our list of spotted wildlife are two garter snakes and one big stripey snake that scared the pants off us.

This is Chris's dead moose face. Ha.

This is the end of the trail. We thought maybe we could hike up the mountain and go around, but there wasn't much up there.
